For all you northern lower penn. railroad modelers you may want to look at this one...
Freight would be produce, sand, pulpwood, lumber, coal, oil, and tourists to Sleeping Bear Sand dunes. I have often thought of this as a modeling possibility, but space for a layout this size is non existent. Staging would be under empire for PM trains and AA trains to work the interchanges.
A singe train could work the line, while a lone loco would make up cars in the Parkdale yard for the next day. It is pretty basic but would make for an interesting operation. Perhaps a branchline on another level to Arcadia! This would be a beautiful area to model. My grandfather owned Brooks Lake and property around Glen Lake at one time and I have fond memories of that area.
