Dennis, I was stumbling through pages of web searches last night and stumbled on to a 1917 DBC&W timetable cover in full color...and it had the DBC&W logo on the bottom. I'm going to have to have some decals printed up. Also, turns out the DC&S had quite a bit of old DBC&W equipment laying about for a while after 1925. I'm hoping to do some more hoofing around this weekend. Need to find the actual names of the lumber company and elevator in Peck, plus that in Heman's and Snover as well. Now, if you really want to talk "what-ifs" suppose the C&O sold off the Sandusky branch, plus the line south from Poland through Carsonville and on down to Croswell to the DBC&W. What a range of traffic that would open up!
Meanwhile, I'm proceeding with development of a realistic equipment roster for the DBC&W/DC&S circa 1965. Set aside a weekend in May, it will be worth it!
