Steve..steam was part of the DC&S's problems! Too costly to maintain and fuel..but there was not enough money to replace them!
Would EMD or ALCo take steamers as a trade it?
A diesel or 2 would have helped the DC&S save on locomotive servicing costs (therefore..my previous Baldwin sudgestion may not be the best).
Steve..I am sure the old Sanilac Tile place did have some sort of rail service (the old C&O tracks ran behind it)..what exactly..I do not know.
Steve..Model a connection to the PM at Sandusky..I have restarted working on my Sandusky layout (C&O era, but can be modified on the spot for HESR stuff..though there was not much of a difference).
