Oh..1960..Ah..makes things much easier then!
Power could be old NYC SW1's, maybe an old Baldwin (AS616..exC&O..good for the light rail)..or go even richer..and old C&O BL2 (seeing as how C&O traded them into EMD for GP18's in 1959)..but keep an old ten wheeler around as back up power (as some smaller roads did in the 1960's).
You could model the C&O sandusky branch IN Sandusky (not the whole thing)..same with the NYC in Caro and the GTW at Wilmot.
I have been told that there was a stock yard in Wilmot served by the DC&S..would it have been active this late?
