Hi everyone
I’m madly seeking advice from anyone and everyone on ideas for my husband’s 30th in September. He is a child stuck in a grown man’s body, so we’re going with a ‘childhood’ theme. The invites have been sent – they’re a Doctor’s certificate for patients suffering from adultitis, and the treatment is to attend the party and let their inner child shine!
I have some ideas but would LOVE to hear more. So far I have the following:
Entertainment:
jumping castle, face painter, dress ups box and photo booth, 80s music videos on projector, retro gaming consoles
Decorations:
comic book bunting, kiddie pools instead of eskies/ice boxes, beach buckets as wine coolers, giant lollipops to line the entry way, 80s pop culture images on posters, ’30 sucks’ lollipop table centrepieces
Food:
All kids party food ideas – fairy bread, mini hot dogs and pizzas etc
Bake stand of all the things we used to get at school carnivals as kids
Drinks:
Slushie machine, jelly shots, punch, milk and juice poppers, softdrink cans etc
And there’s a lolly buffet of all the treats we had as kids. But I want this to be an insanely good fun party so that everyone reminisces about the ‘good ol days’…
ANY help would be greatly appreciated – I’m looking forward to some great ideas!
