Hi my daughter was married this summer on her husband's ten day leave from Iraq. He is now Home. (THANK GOD) And we are planning a wedding reception/home coming party for them. I am doing every thing my self, It will be more like a large shower instead of a reception. They were married on the beach so it's going to be a beach theme. We are expecting 50-75 people.
The menu is:
Ham
Turkey
Meat Balls
potatoe salad
Deviled eggs
pasta salad
cheese balls/crackers
cheese/pickles/olive tray
Fruit Tray
Vegetable Tray
Rolls
Wedding Cake
Cheese cake (grooms Cake)
Ice tea
Lemon Aid
Bottled Water
We are Also Having a Candy Buffet. (Thats why I'm not having alot of sweets)
This is my First solo event. I have a lot of Help
from Family and friends. But would like to know if this menu sounds to plain. There will be a lot of older people and wanted to keep the food
simple. Also my daughter has not had any showers so she will be getting all her gifts at the party. Should she open them there or later at home? Any Help or suggestions would be of a GREAT HELP.
Thanks,
Angie in GA
