: Hi I am hosting a dinner for a high school
: boys lacrosse team. I plan on doing a taco
: bar and am wondering about the amount of
: food for these kids. Do the regular
: conversions work? Should I double
: everything!!! Please help. Also this is my
: first time cooking for a large group. There
: will be about 30 people (20 boys) which is
: large for me! I have a week so I have plenty
: of time and it will be held in my home so I
: have access to whatever I need.
:
: Thank you for any ideas, suggestions, exact
: amounts to cook!

:Hi, With a group of young men I would make a lot more...if you figure one # of hamburger makes 8 tacos then you need to remember that these boys will eat probably at least 3 tacos each...ask them how many they think they will eat...I know that when I did tacos for a rather large football party (15 adults) that I went through 20#'s of meat very very fast. Good luck hope this helps you.
