Payten was my daughter's ex-boyfriend's three year old little girl who was left unsupervised in the bath tub by her mother's boyfriend. He went out to smoke a cigarette and quiet his dogs and found her face down in the water when he came back in. She was declared brain dead and we went over to say our goodbyes. The parents donated her organs so two families received miracles because of this precious girl. She was a precious little girl and by far the hardest thing I have ever been through in my entire life. The twist to the whole thing is that the stories don't match up, she had the worst brain trauma the nurses had ever seen, and she had bruises on her head and body. The case is under investigation. The other issue is that my daughter is pregnant, due in Feb. and Payten would have been been my grandchild's half-sister. It's been very rough. It's just so wrong. It shouldn't have happened. I am ready for some answers. Love, Vernie
