So sorry, Hope. I was just reading about the storm headed for the Gulf coast and I thought of you, so I decided to check in here.
Jenny's mom has middle stage Alzheimer's, and we moved her into assisted living two years ago. She wasn't happy there at first, but once she settled in she was okay. By now she doesn't remember ever living anywhere else, so she's happy there. I think in a lot of cases Alzheimer's is harder on the family than it is on the patient. It's so sad to watch someone you love lose their whole identity.
