passed away. She, Penny and I stayed in fairly close contact. Penny's death hit her very hard as Ana was trying everything available to her at that time. I received an email from her maybe two months ago but we couldn't get our schedules synched up and at that time, she was hoping for a better outcome for a potential treatment.
We had a few great lunches, the three of us, when Penny was in town getting gene therapy. I liked Ana both for her direct and honest way of looking at living, somethin I loved Penny for as well.
Ana's memorial service is posted on her facebook page, it'll be in Gulf Shores, with a post-memorial at a great restaurant there, one that Penny and I visited a lot when I went there. Not sure if that was intentional but, if not, I'd like to think they're both gonna be there, dishin' about life, relationships, the ins and outs of treatment and immortals.
