I just learned that a friend of mine took his own life over the weekend. His work just noticed today that he wasn't at work, everybody just assumed that he had spoken to somebody else. They sent somebody to do a well-being check and found him. Such a tragedy. Please, everybody, reach out to folks you know who might be alone and sad over this holiday season. You never know if your phone call might be the only friendly voice someone hears. Everybody needs to know they are valued, and important to somebody. I am just so sad.
