well, it's six years ago today that mom lost her fight with this disease. i took a small bouquet of flowers to the cemetery today, such a beautiful day outside. i also bought a dozen roses and put them on my fireplace for her. missing her is the hardest part, but life goes on, and i keep her with me every minute of every day.
when i was putting the roses into a vase, i asked her if she liked them. i'm sure she's smiling somewhere, enjoying their beauty and their fragrance, just like i always enjoyed her beauty and her fragrance. what a sweet, beautiful mother i had on this earth, and one i always will have, even until the end of time.
