I've had nightmares the last three nights and finally during the day today (finally fell asleep while doing my finals notes) and it hit me that it's the anniversary of Gerri's death. It isn't that I don't think of her often, either, it's that I don't like to think of her not being here. 
I'm guessin' there aren't many left who remember her but for those of us who do, she was a good pal. This year has hit me worse than the others for some reason.....maybe fallout from Joanne or something.
Anyway, here's to Gerri, who I'm sure has long since moved on and would chide me gently for not letting her go. Ger, may you enjoy flat water and good weather for both kayaking and statue-lady-ing, swee'pea. And thanks so much for the impact you had on my life, how you changed me and how I hope to help others because of those changes.
