Hey Hope! I feel kind of odd posting about happiness in the "Grief Support" Board, but I know support is support, wherever we may find it.
I am sooo fine, thanks for asking. My very last chemo treatment is on Thursday, last Fragmin needle in my poor belly is on Thursday, and chemo is DONE for me on April 30. If you hear a joyous yell down in New Orlean's on May 1st, it is just me! Despite being chemo-riddled at the moment, I feel such happiness knowing that I have made it through this step. Driving my family batty with my banter, I'm sure!
I am all tattooed and ready to be zapped with radiation beginning on May 12th. When I put my hand on my hip, raised the corner of my lip and 'bragged' to my 17 year old daughter that I have FIVE tattooes, she informed me that I had the wrong stereotype for a person with tattooes. She's right - I was just trying to act tough!
Went on a beautiful long bike ride this morning with my hubby. From reading others' posts, I think we ALL have needed this weather change to lift our spirits. This sure has been the longest winter of my life!
How are you doing? Tired of writing papers? Thinking of taking over your instructor's job?
From the support and insight you provide to all of us, I think you should just be granted your Masters degree right now. Can you imagine the reference letters we could write for you??
Enjoy this coming week. Spring is finally here!
Vicki
