No flooding up here in the mountains, but down in the valley where the river flows through town they're having some pretty big problems. I'm sure you know what that's like. A couple of bridges have been washed out, and lots of homes flooded. I volunteer with search and rescue, and we've had to pull several people out of their cars after they tried to drive through fast moving water and got swept away by the current. People don't realize how deep the water is, and how little it takes to float a car. We haven't had a winter like this in a long time, and then it warmed up really fast and all the snow melted at once. That's just too much water for our little streams and rivers to handle.
I'm glad you're having nice weather down there. Ours is getting better. Looking forward to those lazy summer days
