We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Years ago when we had to have our cat Attila put to sleep our vet sent us the following quote. I have found it to be so helpful as we have lost a number of furry babies since that time.
I offer it to you as you cope with losing Suki: "We, who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
