The next organizational meeting for Piankeshaw Trails Educational Park will be held October 10th, Thursday at Piankeshaw Trails Park in the Barn located 1.5 miles east of Solsberry on Greene Chapel Road. Anyone interested in the history of our community and the educational opportunities of having a living history park located in Greene County should attend. Discussions will include legal issues and the formation of a corporation and board of directors which will lead eventually to the application for becoming a non-profit organization. This park is already hosting numerous schools and youth groups on field trips to the park. This is a hands on park through which students experience role playing, nature, working in groups to accomplish a goal, games, and much more. Phase I which is the Woodland Indian Village is under construction and we need community support, volunteers to help in many aspects.
