Sept. 12th: Childrens Appreiation Day - we will display pictures done by children--all children who have colored get a free coupon from participating restaurants. In memory of September 11th, Margaret Cooper Public Library will have a patriotic week begining Monday, September 9th -- Friday, September 13th, 2002. We will be handing out ribbons and bookmarks that pertain to 9/11, as well as a display set up: Sept 9th & 10th, will be "Appreciation Day" to honor military,vetrans, fire fighters, police & rescue workers. There will be refresments during normal library hours, we will videotape interviews. This tape will become part of our collection, to be used for public viewing and one copy will be sent to the Library of Congress.
