Posted by Bloomington Symphony Orchestra The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra will collaborate with the Indianapolis Arts Chorale and the Indianapolis Opera to perform its spring classical concert, “Encore: Opera’s Greatest Hits”. The concert will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 8:00 pm at Freemason Hall in Indianapolis. There will be a second performance on Sunday April 23rd at 2:00 pm at Indiana University Memorial Union in Bloomington. The concert will feature some of the most well known and loved opera classics including the Overture to The Barber of Seville, Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1, and a scene from The Magic Flute. The night will be filled with energetic and powerful opera melodies that will leave you wanting more. The concert is part of the IU School of Music’s “Symphonic Sunday”, with follow-up performances from the Musical Arts Youth Orchestra and the Oratorio Choir and Philharmonic Orchestra. General admission for the concert in Bloomington is $15 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors. Children 5 and under are free.
