Sorry forgot to address this portion. My experience has been 50/50 on this. If they had the opportunity to be released on bail, or turn themselves it... and it hasn't been to long ago, family members may have their ID.
But most with booking bands haven't been to trial yet, haven't had their possessions returned, and their ID is locked up in the sealed bag of items taken at time of booking.
