Absolutly not!!!!!!
Here in wonderful CA... you can be anyone you want to be in Jail. The name provided at booking will be the name you are addressed by until the end of your incarceration, however long that might be. If they discover your using an alias , that will be added to your "file"... but your stuck with the booking name until released.
Per officers I have spoken to at several incarseration locations throughout LA county.... CA did away with Inmate photo ID's 20+ years ago for budget reasons. Why it's still a listed ID by the Sec of state.... because it takes at least that long for Bureaucracies in Ca to communicate with each other if ever.

: Has anyone had experience with
: notaizating a document for a inmate
: without a ID card. The LA County jail
: that I would be going to only has
: booking #'s, no pic, no sig on card.
: Someone told me, she feels the jail
: officials have the right person in
: custody, so the booking # should be
: enough to do the notarization.
: Anyone's thoughts??? Sounds valid,
: but is it?
