Title companies aren't typically the problem...it's Signing Services that are the problem and don't want to pay. You should get paid anywhere from 7 to 21 days. If I were you, I would set a limit on how many signings in a row you're willing to do with a new company before you expect payment for all outstanding invoices. My personal limit is three. Then I tell the company, pay for those three, then I'm willing to take on more work. Title Insurance Companies are regulated by the state insurance commissioner so if they don't pay, you have someplace to report them to for "theft of services".
