That is just the reason for using one's FULL name as their legal name. For example, I have a fairly common first/last name (the other two "triplets" live in England, one is a barrister/notary and the other is a banker that worked for the same bank as I did). On legal documents, I insist that my full name (first/middle/last) be used to mitigate as much as possible any possibility of someone else obligating me for anything.
