There are two toner cartridges for the HL-2140.....the low yield cartridge gives 1,000 pages and the high yield cartridge gives 2,500 pages. So it's not that I'm squeaking out extra pages from the 1k cartridge...there are actually two toner cartridges for that printer - a low yield (1,000) and a high yield (2,500).
