--Previous Message-- : will a Brother HL-2140 work for our : printing jobs?I have a HL-5240 now but : it needs a new drum It should do the trick for PDF files, however, I have some reservations about how much of load can be placed on this economical laser printer. Further printing anything but PDF files may cause some problems. The printer uses the GDI (Graphics Device Interface) so it cannot print PCL files. Some lenders and title companies provide documents in eLynx, SwiftView, and others that use "RAW PCL" file formats. These files are not interpreted by Windows or the printer driver, but passed directly to the PCL engine, or PCL emulator. Personally, I would look for a different printer. One the specifically supports PCL5e at a minimum, PCL6 recommended.
