It's totally legit to provide copies of your E&O and commission, but SS card is out of the question. Don't you have a EIN? (A must have and simple toget.) As far as your DL, you could black out your identifying number if they insisted on a copy. I guess references and a resume would also be OK - just a gigantic pain.
As to their $50!?!? They must be trying to scare you - they pay $100 - at least. Unless they're skimming for cheap notaries now. Just tell them your fee and see what happens.I think when I told them my fee, they went on and on about how I'd be at the bottom of their list - but still they keep calling.
