What Accountants know or don't know, doesn't address the posters question. The poster specifically mentioned using Turbo Tax...
While I guess some accountant might refer to him/herself by such a term, I assume the poster was referring to the software.
I would suggest calling the maker of the program. I know the professional software we use TAX-Wise, requires a manual override of the software for this specific application (notary income, re:SE taxes), one great advantage of the software is anything can be overwritten. It just tracks the fact that it has been overwritten.
