Its a big deal for us notaries to be backgrounds screened i.e., fingerprinted, photographed, researched etc by SOS, DOJ and FBI at our expense every four years in order to be a signing agent handling sensitive personal info such as loan docs. The other day, a lender wants me to pick up docs a KINKOs Fed X store. I got into it with them about Kinkos employees being background screened etc. "They have taken a quiz/training in confidentiality", was the response. Well I dont think thats what new laws intended. Any ideas about who to take this up with??
