Lenders, Escrow, etc all have guidelines they love to claim as "law".
Our home(s) have always been in the name of our Trust. No lender has ever drawn docs in the name of our trust. There's this wonderful document (at least here in CA) called a grant deed that lets you move/ alter / change names on titles to deal with these little issues. The problem is that most Escrow companies don't wish to take the time to make document corrections UNLESS they have to... like Trusts. It's just easier on them to attempt to lean on the Notary. Any time they claim they have "never".... I know their claim is bunk, now if they said we often get notaries to... it's sad but true.
BUT I'm not going to be one of them.
