We are fine....many of my friends live in this part of town. Last night at 6p I was at an Indian restaurant watching the fire with one of my fellow signing agents, Marlene Maxwell, and I said, I think you can't go home because this fire is out of control and people will not be allowed to go in and pack things they want to keep. She went to stay with another friend in town, I came home to Nipomo. I'm off to the high school to check on some of my friends I cannot reach by phone or email to make sure they have everything they need, or if they want to come up to my place and hang out, away from the smoke and anxiety.
Pray for all the Santa Barbarans who lost their homes and valuables in the night, and it is far from over....100 homes so far at 6am today, in only 12 hours. Fire danger is so emminent with all these Santa Ana Winds which have not let up at all. PRAY FOR RAIN AND FOR THESE FOLKS!
