Posted by Roy C once bitten, twice shy. if you don't want to LET yourself go out with him, then consider it a test of your own will. by turning him down it doesn't mean his world is over... but just tell him that you are flattered at the idea but you personally just aren't sure if you'd be able to have a relationship right now. that's a possible suggestion, anyway. yes, love always hurts when it ends. but that also means if you let the hurt get to you, you may never be able to love again either. and that would be just as much a shame as well. even though you may want to be with him just also remember that high school isn't always the greatest place for relationships as it's more about "experimenting". very few high school relationships make it past those years... so if he's willing to wait a year or two for you then that may mean he's got enough maturity to make it a lasting one. but again, that's just assumption as everyone is different thus, the choices are still yours. i just hope i cleared up some of the fog which was laying around, however. and if you need, you'll know where to reach me.
