I liked the 2009 version of Emma, but I don't think it was as good as "our" version. Agree with Jules about Romola and Jonny: I like them both, but not especially in these roles. As Emma and Mr. K, they just seemed to make each other cranky and angry. They didn't even seem like friends to me, the way GP's Emma and JN's Knightley do in their version. And I agree with you Jules about getting kids to watch period drama. Some girls, maybe, but not the boys... Have to admit I was a bit confused by that part of the discussion.
