Re: Sam Neill: Actors are allowed to do things other than act
I loved this article! I wonder if his interest in wine preceeded or followed Dean Spanley and what he really thinks about Tokai. His comment about Jeremy solves a mystery; I'd been wondering what kind of music was being played in still photos of Jeremy smiling at and playing with a music combo. Interesting tidbit about Tim Spall and connections both to the article and blooper reel: A few years back, while searching for JN films in a discount dvd bin, I came across a film called "Dutch Girls," which appeared on UK TV about 1986 or '87. It was about a British public school football team that goes to a match in Holland. The cast featured very young Colin Firth, Timothy Spall, James Wilby and Daniel Chatto (whom I hadn't known, as he quit acting to marry a royal). One of Tim Spall's repeated activities in the film is getting drunk and vomiting. Not a great film that anyone should seek out, but interesting to see these guys early on.
