Eye-In-The-SkyEye in the Sky is a suspense drone warfare thriller movie from director Gavin Wood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ender’s Game) that will witness how a perfect military operation went abrupt because of single girl that will become a victim along with hunted terrorists.
Eye in the Sky stars Helen Mirren as Col. Katherine Powell, who will lead the operation to catch female terrorist, the young English radical Susan Danford played by actress Lex King, Alan Rickman in his second to the last film he completed before his death last January, 2016, played the part of Lt. General Frank Benson, Col. Powell’s superior and Aaron Paul playing the role of Steve Watts, U.S. military drone pilot who engage the attack on the terrorists.
From the screenplay of Guy Hibbert, produced Ged Doherty, Colin Firth and David Lancaster and distributed by Entertainment One, Eye in the Sky premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival on September, 2015 and will be released in the United States on March 11, 2016 and has a play date in Europe on April 8, 2016.
Col. Powell is a UK based military officer that was called to lead an operation to capture a radical Englishwoman who had joined terrorists in Kenya. The operation discovered that the rebel groups are planning a suicide bombing attacks with the help of drones.
Col. Powell insists that, they will capture Danford and not to kill her nor other terrorists. But when the UK military group asked the help of US drone pilot Watt and plan the attack, they saw in the captured live video that there was a girl inside the terrorists hideout.
Learning of the presence of a girl with the terrorists, it is now between the two allies to decide the attack and personal, political and moral values arise and the hardest decision to stop terrorism will happen if one innocent life will become a victim of this warfare.
