I've been listening to this audiobook recently and am once again charmed and amazed by JN's ability to "do" voices. His Markus Bismaquer is wonderful! He gives the man a hearty southern charm, but lets you hear that there might be something more sinister lurking beneath the Southern Hospitality.
And I've just listened to the part where Bond and Nena Bismaquer kiss in the car. Yowza! I think my temperature rose a couple of degrees just sitting and listening to Jeremy read it!
