Re: the gore. Jules, I'm thinking we might have to consider the source. I think that Daily Mail article was playing up the violence aspect--at least I'm hoping that's the case. The Heretics sounds similar to other recent historical series like The Tudors, where violence is part of the story but not necessarily the focus. The other pieces we've seen about the series haven't highlighted the goriness.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see whether JN really is in it and whether it's going to be a gorefest.
