I agree, Martina. That review was harsh. Figures the one time JN does get mentioned it's in a review that trashes WH. 
And you'll notice the reviewer mentioned Downton Abbey. *sigh* I liked DA very much, but I'm getting sick of every other British historical drama being compared to it. 
It's like saying oranges are bad because they don't taste like apples. I like apples very much, but I don't want to eat them all the time. Sometimes I want an orange. Comparing White Heat to Downton Abbey and finding WH lacking because it isn't just like DA is about as useful a comparison, if you ask me.
