I thought maybe Dean Martin might come to mind with that sentence, but there's no fooling this group! Very nicely done, Mariela. And thanks for the screencaps of the scene from Bobby Jones Stoke of Genius where Walter Hagen asks that question.
Martina's praise, "My hat's off to you" is especially appropriate since Hagen famously never wore a hat.
He got money from endorsing a hair oil/tonic and part of the deal was that he not cover up his hair.
I had thought this fact about Walter Hagen wasn't mentioned in the film--he never says anything about it. But I watched the film recently and another character asks Bobby Jones when he's going to "cash in" on his success the way Hagen has, and mentions the hair oil endorsement and lack of hats.
So, "Sir" Walter's hat is off to you as well, Mariela.
