Our aim is to have a happy, playful, fun, respectful and informative Board to share our enthusiasm for the fine actor, Jeremy Northam.
Please read these guidelines carefully. By posting, you have already agreed to the terms listed below. Failure to abide by these restrictions will result in appropriate action taken accordingly.
If you wish to discuss any of these terms, please contact one of the Moderating Team by private message (PM) or email.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Spam: will be removed by the Moderating Team.
2. Pornography: advertisement of adult sites or links to adult sites will be removed and appropriate action will be taken.
3. Advertisement: constant advertisement of sites or forums is prohibited. You may advertise in your signature, but not anywhere else.
4. Contacting the Moderating Team: if you have an issue you would like to sort out with the Moderating Team, please contact them via the PM system or email.
5. Flaming/tone of voice/obscenity: healthy discussion is encouraged - and a bit of raillery here and there - but outright abusive posts will be dealt with and the poster warned. If they continue with the activity, then they will be suspended and/or banned. Please be respectful and mindful of the feelings of others when posting. Remember that what you write may not be taken in the way you intend. Sarcasm, in particular, has the potential to be read as biting and/or attacking. None of us wants to intentionally hurt another member’s feelings, so use extreme caution when making replies that have a sarcastic tone. Always think how someone else might read your post, and use emoticons to clarify your meaning where necessary. Please do not use language that may offend other members.
6. NJR (Non Jeremy Related) posts are allowed. Please preface the title with “NJR” so people can choose to read or not.
7. Privacy: posting of information which constitutes an invasion of Jeremy Northam’s privacy is not allowed. We are here to admire, discuss and share our enthusiasm for the fine work of this actor, so speculation and posting of information which relates to Jeremy’s private life, and that of his family and friends is not allowed. Disparaging remarks about Jeremy, his family and friends is also not allowed, or repeating or suggesting any malicious rumour about Jeremy or any member of his family. Such posts will be removed by the Moderating Team. Please be aware that this Board may be visited by members of Jeremy’s family, his agents and his friends.
8. Piracy and Hacking: piracy is illegal "stealing" of products that cost money to a consumer. Piracy programs of any sort will not be advertised or even suggested.
9. The posting of details regarding 'unlicensed' downloading film and music sites on this Board is unacceptable because they breach copyright law. They are illegal, and the posting of such information could jeopardise the safe running of our Board. Therefore Mods reserve the right to delete outright any post containing such information.
10. Images and Content: pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit or offensive. Hot linking is not allowed. If you wish to post a photo, please upload it to a hosting site and then post it to the Board using the HTML code contained between < and >.
When posting images you have found on the internet, please be sure that it is legal for the image to be copied and reproduced elsewhere. Be particularly careful when sourcing images from photographers' websites and photo agency sites. If you are at all unsure, please check with a Mod before uploading an image to the Board, giving the Mod the link for the location that you sourced it. Copyright law protects photographers' rights, and the Board (and possibly you) could risk prosecution if we reproduce a photograph without permission.
Images that are freely available in the public domain on the internet, and have no copyright restrictions, may be posted on the board and copied by you for your own use. Please be aware that all images posted on the Board and that have been accessed legally on the internet, are not “owned” in any way by the person that found and posted them, though it is always polite to thank the finder!
Screencaps made by individuals from video footage may be posted to the Board. Please be aware that, once posted, the Moderating Team cannot prevent people (members or non members) from copying these images. If you make screencaps for sharing amongst members and do not want them to be copied by other people, we suggest you ask a Mod to email them using the Board mailing list, stating that you do not wish them to be posted to the Board or elsewhere.
Personal photographs are posted to the Board at your own risk. Please be aware that the Admin Team is unable to prevent people from copying these images. Anyone may look at our Board, you do not need to register to view it, and so anyone can view your images and copy them. You should be happy for this to happen before posting.
11. Board Moderation: you may edit your own posts. If Mods need to carry out any editing of post contents, then the person concerned will be contacted beforehand via PM or email. We will do our best to carry out the members' wishes and to address concerns as quickly as possible.
12. The Mods are volunteering their time to help provide this Board. We are only human! Please be appreciative and follow up when getting a helpful response. If you've solved your problem, let people know so they don't continue spending time on your question. Saying a little "thank you" goes a long way!
13. Mods do not nor ever will have access to members' PMs or emails. This is impossible. The idea of spying on members is thoroughly against the ethos of fairness and trust between us all.
Remember to keep it clean and be respectful towards others. Most importantly, enjoy your use of this Board.
The Board owner reserves the right to amend these rules when necessary. Thank you for being here.
