Posted by Mary You definitely don't want him getting in the water - ferrets can get intestinal buggies from the water (e.g. giardia, etc.), so making it impossible for him to get up there would be your best bet since there is no way to keep him off the couch. Good luck! Mary

There is nothing to make him stop except to move the tank. That is part of ferret proofing your house, sorry
