Vulva swelling

I have a 5 1/2 year old female ferret. One year ago she underwent adrenal surgery for BOTH adrenal glands. One was completed removed due to a large tumor and the right one was excised for a small tumor on it. The surgery was a success and all of her hair grew back in only 3 weeks. She has been a healthy ferret for an entire year. She still acts normal now and still has all her hair but she has vulva swelling for about 3 weeks now. She is spayed (a Marshall ferret). Since she already had the adrenal surgery what could be causing this? She has no hair loss at all?
