genealogy question

I am interested in starting a family genealogy and don't quite know how to include my daughter who was placed for adoption at birth, as I've never seen it done on any other family history. I wasn't married at the time she was born and I don't wish to list the name of the birthfather. My daughter and I have been reunited, so I know her adopted and married name. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
