Not sure if anyone was jumping for joy, but there were some pretty big smiles, especially Bill and Lee.
Bill Volcko with Doug Bradley instructing went on a tour of the windmills and managed to get to cloud base (6K). Bill was definitely smiling after he returned.
Lee Barber soloed in the Blanik. I watched his landing on his second flight and thought it was instructor on the controls it was so smooth.(Congradulations)
We had a few rides and (I think) a new FAST member.
I started my day in the 21 with an 1100 foot tow for a pattern but got off in a 4kt thermal and decided to get away. Managed to stay up over an hour. Finished the day by soloing 22A. Jake tried to chase me down in 02A but I was focused on figuring out the new (to me) plane and decided not to play with him. Maybe next time.
Rick Klingenberger towed and stuck around late to launch a final gaggle, including me in 22A. Thanks Rick.
We finished the day with dinner at the BigSky with Dangerous Dan and the hang gliding folks.
If you weren't there you missed another fantastic day
