Both will be excellent soaring days. Very difficult to say which is best. Cloud base should be higher today, whereas mean thermal strength in the PBL could be greater on Thursday. You would think there would be correlation between the two. There is, but it's not that tight. In the middle of the winter, when the cloud base is only a few K, there can be ass-kicking thermals....if you have strong cold advection....eg an Alberta Clipper bringing in 14F air over a slushy snowpack after a warm spell. Documented that in my MS thesis, which the NSF paid for.
Bullshit....priceless.
