You all slakers who didn't make it yesterday for what can only properly be termed a feast really screwed up. Real Roasted Red Meat complete with Tom's great-aunt's genuine Booger Holler sauce was something to holler about. Plus the best baked beans north of the Mason-Dixon line, I had three helpings (I am single). Afternoon local flying was good too, if you paid attention to the clouds...and a perfect day for winching our new Blanik, which kites up better than the previous.
So right now a weak and dry (kinda like me) cold front is sitting on us but...will gradually sag to the south, with conditions improving substantially this afternoon. Also with a light N to NW wind a good day to work on getting winch qualified. And tomorrow will definitely be a soaring day, what with a bubble surface high and NNW winds at 700mb precluding any warm advection aloft. Dirty Dan's victory may be very short-lived, as tomorrow will probably be good enough to bring that boomerang back "home" to Dansville. Any takers?
