A great weekend for all outdoor activities and especially flying....but: Both GFS and NAM progs have a "low-level jet" over Dansville on Saturday. Specifically: winds from 925mb to 850mb(~ ridge top height to about 4800'AGL) 40 increasing to 50 kts, and then actually less at 700mb = ~ 10k', thus the term low-level jet. Surface winds 20 gusting to 40 especially by noon. Low-time/student/junior pilots: watch out! Don't go up alone if you aren't comfortable. You can fool everyone but yourself. Same goes for the rest of us. Ships will need someone on each wingtip. Enjoy.
