Charles F. Hudson
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Charles F. Hudson, III, passed away Saturday Sept. 27, 2008 at Albany Medical Center. He was 42.
Born on Nov. 11, 1965 in Eden, N.C., he is the son of Charles F. Hudson, Jr. and Della Ann (Peach) Joyce and was a 1984 graduate of Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Fla. He owned and operated BCD Tire Chip Manufacturing in Hagaman for several years. His life revolved around his family and he had a great passion for coaching and helping others. When not with his family, he enjoyed being at the airport and flying, spending time at the lake and being with his friends.
He was predeceased by a niece, Lauren Raym.
Survivors include his wife of 18 1/2 years, Caroline (Galvin) Hudson; his children, Colby and Drew Hudson, all of Saratoga Springs; his mother, Ann Joyce and her husband Charles of Apex, N.C. and his father, Charles F. Hudson Jr. and his wife Carol of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Tammy (William) Wright of Fuguay-Varina, N.C. and Teresa (Paul) Moylan of Ashburnham, Mass.; one brother, Nick (Lucrezia) Hudson of Philadelphia, Penn.; his nieces and nephews; Megan, Katie and Sara Wright of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; Heather Raym of Ashburnham, Mass.; Kyle, Bryan and Rebecca Hudson of Ocala, Fla.
Services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Northway Church, 1208 Route 146, Clifton Park by Pastor Buddy Cremeans.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorials may be made in his name to The Charlie Hudson Memorial at any Saratoga National Bank for the benefit of the education of Colby and Drew.

Pilot dies from crash injuries

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A local father of two who was injured in a plane crash on Tuesday died of his injuries on Saturday.
Charles F. Hudson of Saratoga Springs was performing high-speed taxis at the Schenectady County airport in a replica P-51 Mustang when, according to witnesses, the plane crashed from an altitude of about 200 feet.
Hudson, 42, was listed in critical condition throughout the week, and died Saturday. Federal Aviation Administration records show Hudson held a glider pilot's license and a license for single-engine airplanes. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, but it is not known when a cause will be determined.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Northway Church, 1208 Route 146, Clifton Park. For a complete obituary, please see Page 9A.
