The holder of a paper Pilot Certificate issued under 14 CFR 61 may not excercise the privileges of that certificate after 03/31/2010
Ref 14 CFR 61.19(h)
The holder of a paper Ground Instructor Certificate issued under 14 CFR 61 may not excercise the privileges of that certificate after 03/31/2013.
Ref 14 CFR 61.19(e)(2)
This means if you are still using a Paper Pilot or Paper Ground Instructor certificate you must request a new one prior to the aforementioned dates! You need to get the new Plastic Certificate!
