“Matching Grant Challenge.” Remember these words. Dianne Black-
Nixon, Chairman of the Board of the SSA, announced at the Annual Membership
Meeting in Albuquerque, NM that she is prepared to match all donations
up to $25,000. What an opportunity for SSA members to make a donation
to SSA and have it matched. You may make checks payable to SSA,
marking them “Matching Grant Challenge,” or you may use a credit card to
make your donation by calling the office. We certainly thank Dianne and
hope SSA members will take advantage of her generosity. Please note that
this offer will lapse at midnight on May 1st , so please send your donations by
that time.
To make your gift giving a little more interesting, Peter Smith of the
National Soaring Museum has added to the challenge. For any gift made to
SSA with an accompanying additional gift to the National Soaring Museum,
Peter will match up to $2,500. In other words, $100 to SSA plus $100 to
NSM is matched by $100 from Dianne and $100 from Peter to SSA. The
added challenge will benefit the SSA and the NSM. This is going to be exciting,
and I hope you all take advantage of these generous offers.
