I am working on a 900Mhz licence free solution for getting an IP connection into the clubhouse. This would be a single point hop from an Internet wired location, like someones house. I am going to attempt a link between the field and my house, but the path may be prohibitive. Only 15 miles, but the path is not clear. I plan on testing it this weekend.
This connection should be good for about 1MB/s, but will depend a great deal on the quality of the link. A connection to my house would almost certainly require some kind of outside directive antenna. A couple of feet above the roof of the clubhouse would probably do. I can provide all the necessary materials. A more local link connection, like someone in the Dansville area with a high speed connection and bandwidth to spare, would require considerably less antenna requirements.
See you Saturday with my toys.
